Steve Winterburn is POOL AFC's Child Welfare Officer and is on hand anytime for managers, coaches, senior players, junior players and parents. Pool AFC safe guarding of junior members(under 18’s) is paramount at the club and if any of the above mentioned have any concerns/issues or information regarding poor practice within or outside the club please contact him. All information reported to Steve, however trivial, will be treated with the strictest confidence.

All our coaches, managers and committee members involved with junior members are all CRB checked and are aware of the ‘FA’s 'safe guarding children' procedures if they ever find themselves in a situation that may send alarm bells ringing. i.e  if a child approaches them with a complaint or a third party passes on disturbing information about a junior member or if there is any visible evidence that something is not right.
